10 Products I’m Loving as a Mom To Be!

As a soon to be mom of 2, I am all about taking some time to pamper myself now! My skin has changed over the last few months from oily to dry and sensitive (thanks hormones!) With that comes a need to switch up my routine and try some new products. Maybe you aren’t pregnant but are dealing with the same skin concerns of dryness and sensitivity. These products can help you too! Here are ten products I’m loving as a mom to be:

Dove Bar Soap

This gentle white bar has been around for years, and for good reason. Its moisturizing formula cleanses without stripping your skin and the light scent doesn’t overpower my still sensitive nose. The price is nice too!

Mustela Stretch Mark Oil

I love tiger stripes, but at the zoo, not on my tummy. This oil absorbs quickly and helps to keep you skin supple as it begin to grow. Keeping your skin hydrated also helps prevent the itchiness I experienced during my first pregnancy.

Blistex Medicated Lip Balm

My daughter is 2 and currently obsessed with lip balm. This means no more 4 dollar tubes that end up getting broken or hidden. Blistex is clear, has a SPF and is so affordable I can buy them in bulk.

Overnight Cream

From someone who normally battles shine and breakouts, it was strange to swap out BREVENA lighter weight Daily Hydration Moisturizer for the thicker Restore & Hydrate Overnight Cream. My skin looks and feels so much better. I even use it during the day for that added boost of moisture my skin is desperately in need of.

Epsom Salts

There is nothing more relaxing then a warm bath. As long as you keep the temperature warm and not hot it’s a great way to unwind during your pregnancy. Epsom salt baths are my favorite trick for relieving my aches and pains without taking medicine.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen is always important to use, but I am especially diligent when it comes to applying it while pregnant. It keeps my skin from developing those brown patches that many women suffer with (known as Melasma). A quick blob applied after my moisturizer keeps my skin sun safe.

Clarisonic Mia

This little gadget will take your facial cleansing to the next level. Use with your cleanser and the timer will let you know when to move to a new spot on your face. It gently exfoliates, refines your pores, and makes you next skincare steps much more effective. Even better, the compact size is perfect for traveling and it lasts over a month on a single charge.

Cleansing Water

This product is relatively new to the market. Similar to how you apply a toner, this cleansing water helps remove any residual product after you cleanse, but doesn’t irritate or dry out your skin. It even can remove stubborn mascara smears under your eyes without stinging.

Mascara

Who doesn’t love to look more awake? Tossing and turning doesn’t always leave me looking refreshed in the morning. Whatever formula you love, this makeup staple adds definition to your eyes in a few quick swipes. I love the classic L’Oréal Voluminous Mascara for quick volume and length.

Whitening Toothpaste

Keeping my teeth bright and white makes me feel more confident. Swapping out your usual toothpaste for one that helps whiten is an easy fix to give your teeth some attention. My favorite is Arm and Hammer Advance White. It leaves my teeth feeling so clean and I my teeth look whiter after just a few weeks of using it.
